Emerging report reaching Post-Nigeria, on Wednesday night, indicates that the South-Eastern Governors have agreed with Nnamdi Kanu, on Biafra. This came after a closed-door crucial meeting between Nnamdi Kanu and the South-East Governors Forum, under the leadership of Governor David Umahi, in the Government House, Enugu. Sources revealed that the Governors have reached an agreement with Kanu over demands on Biafra. In a communique issued shortly after the meeting with Kanu, they urged the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and his supporters, to exercise a little patience with the Governors, so that their demands would be properly looked into and resolved amicably.

Governors of the South-east states are holding a meeting with the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Namdi Kanu. The meeting, which is being attended by the five governors from the region, is currently going on at the lodge of the Enugu State governor’s lodge in Enugu. Emmanuel Uzor, the Chief Press Secretary of Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi, revealed this on his Facebook page on Wednesday. The Federal Government has finally asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to revoke the bail granted the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Mr. Namdi Kanu, Punch has reported. Kanu is being prosecuted along with others on treasonable felony charges. The request was made on Friday by the prosecution through an application it filed before the court and served to Kanu’s lawyers. The Federal Government hinged its fresh motion seeking the revocation of Kanu’s bail on the grounds that the IPOB leader had flouted the terms and conditions of the bail. Sudan’s foreign ministry says Russia’s ambassador to the African country has been found dead in his residence in Khartoum. In a statement carried by the state-run SUNA news agency on Wednesday, the ministry said Ambassador Mirgayas Shirinsky died Wednesday and offered its condolences to the government and people of Russia. The ministry praised Shirinsky’s diplomatic efforts while in office but offered no details on the circumstances surrounding his death. Shirinsky, who was in his 60s, had been in the Russian diplomatic service since 1977 and had previously served in Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Rwanda. He was appointed ambassador to Sudan in 2013.
