North Korea Sends Serious Threat To Britain And Australia

North Korea has sent a threat to Britain in the ongoing dispute between the republic and the USA, according to reports.

Serving as a warning as to what might happen if Britain becomes involved with the US and South Korean military exercises, a statement was issued by the Korean Central News Agency on Wednesday, the Mirror reports.

Officials claim Britain will 'face a miserable end' if it aligns itself with America in the ongoing conflict with North Korea.

The statement said: "We solemnly warn not only the US and the puppet group but also satellites, including the UK and Australia, which are taking advantage of the present war manoeuvres against the North, that they would face a miserable end if they join in."
Over the last few months, North Korea has threatened the United States with nuclear attacks but officials have now reiterated that any allies of America could face the same fate.

The Mirror reports that soldiers from the UK and Australia are helping 70,000 American and South Korean troops prepare for a potential nuclear attack from North Korea, which is something that the Korean Central News Agency denounced.

"They kicked off the war rehearsal under the pretext of resolutely 'countering' the 'provocation by the north'," a statement said. "This is aimed to ignite a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula at any cost."

Last month, North Korea claimed to have successfully tested a long-range missile.

If true, it would be the first time the country has managed to launch an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), which could potentially have the range to reach the US.

A televised announcement said a Hwasong-14 missile was tested on Tuesday and reached an altitude of 2,802km (1,731 miles) and flew 933km (580 miles), before landing in Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

North Korea has been working on creating a ICBM capable of hitting mainland North America, despite repeated warnings from other countries.

The US Pacific Command said it had detected the missile and tracked it, which it described as an intermediate-range missile.

Experts have said they don't believe North Korea has the capability to accurately target a place with an ICBM. However, other experts are in agreement that North Korea will be able to launch missiles to the US within the next five years.

US President Donald Trump has responded to North Korea by saying, 'does this guy have anything better to do with his life?'.

Russian jets make first foray into south-west Syria.

The US has warned Syrian rebels in the south-west of the country they should not expect military support to help them resist a major government offensive. The message from Washington comes as Russian jets struck an opposition-held town on Sunday in the first air cover provided by Moscow to an expanding Syrian army offensive in the strategic area bordering Jordan and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The US message sent to heads of the Free Syrian Army said Washington wanted to make clear that “you should not base your decisions on the assumption or expectation of a military intervention by us”. The Syrian army began ramping up its assault last week in order to recapture the area. Washington had warned the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, and his Russian allies that violations of a “de-escalation” zone agreed by the US and Russia last year would have “serious repercussions” and pledged “firm and appropriate measures”.
