The Igbos should be sent away from Nigeria: Northern Youths

Concerned Northern Youth, a group of Northern Youths, have warned Politicians and leaders from the North to stay away from the agitation to restructure Nigeria. The group vowed to make anyone from the North who supports restructuring “pay with his/her life”, according to a statement signed by Usman Tijani for the group. Only recently, the All Progressive Congress, APC, led Government appointed Governor Nasir El-Rufai as Chairman, Committee For Restructuring. El-Rufai had in the past spoken against restructuring. The move by APC is seen as a response to the calls for the restructuring of Nigeria in the wake of agitation by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB to secede from Nigeria. Read the full text of the statement copied to Northern Governors, Northern lawmakers, Northern elders, Northern elder statesmen and political class, below: From our secret meetings, we the Arewa youths have discovered that you; our Northern politicians, are yielding to pressure of...

BreakingNews 19/7/17 - Biafra quest for freedom and the hypocrisy of the West

Last week, the U.S. President Donald J. Trump travelled to Paris to celebrate France Bastille Day – also known as Independence or National Day. President Trump was invited by the young and emerging global leader, Emmanuel Macron, the 39-year old newly elected president of France. According to historical records, the French Revolution 1787–1799 began when the commoners stormed the Bastille, a fortress used as a prison in Paris – demanding for social, political and economic reforms designed to eliminate the budget deficit by increasing the taxation of the privileged classes. The commoner and peasants joined to fight for freedom, justice, and liberty against the aristocrats. The efforts they made to enforce fiscal reforms in spite of resistance by the privileged classes led to the massive revolt and resistance against the aristocrats. The protest and revolts waged by the commoners and peasants against the aristocrats during that era led to the weakening and dismantling of many corrup...

BREAKING NEWS: I have never seen where you become free by peaceful means."KAUN NNAMDI

The last few months saw what looked like unprecedented activities from pro-Biafran movements. As someone who was there when Ralph Uwazurike first emerged on the scene with his Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), I could see that something was different this time around. I was there in Newark, New Jersey in April 2001 when Uwazurike visited America. I listened to him speak to a curious audience. I tuned off that day when he said that he would stop crude oil from flowing from the South to the North. I tuned off not because he touted his MASSOB as a non-violent organization. It also was not because he didn’t seem to understand that such action would entail a government reaction and he had no contingency plan for such reaction. I tuned off because of the unnecessary self-aggrandizement. I saw mere blustering that bothers on bullshit. My first encounter with Nnamdi Kanu was on a 2014 SaharaTV interview done via Skype. It was during President...

BREAKING NEWS: Iyke Blaze is at it Again. Listen to his new hit gospel song. Titled: ESE.

Iyke is definitely making noise in Christian music. You can call his music “Church Pub Rap” or “contemporary ghetto gospel,” but what you can expect from his debut album, Holy ghost boy: is a little bit of everything. With Iyke, you get blunt and almost rebellious gospel that’s pushing the genre well beyond traditional expectations. Take a listen to “Raise Hell” and catch him this summer at a festival near you. http://www.trulygospel.com/playSong.php?token=29580000781

North Korea threatens UN

Kim Jong Un, North Korean leader dares UN (Reuters/NAN) North Korea on Friday threatened to take “corresponding measures” if the UN Security Council adopts another sanctions resolution in response to the North’s test-launch of an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) on July 4. The North’s foreign ministry said in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency that the ICBM test was an exercise of its legitimate right to self-defense against nuclear threat from the United States. The U.S. has been trying to get China and Russia to back a new UN Security Council resolution imposing stiffer sanctions on North Korea following its latest missile test. NAN reports that during a Security Council meeting on July 7, U.S. ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, threatened secondary sanctions if the council could not agree on new sanctions. On June 3, the council voted to broaden sanctions on North Korea in a unanimous decision from the council’s 15 member nations. The new…

An inciting audio recording calling on the northerners to attack Ndigbo on October 1st has got the social media abuzz, drawing condemnation from many. Recall that the country has been in turmoil ever since a coalition of northern youths called Arewa Youths, made a threat to Ndigbo after issuing them a quit notice to vacate all northern states, 19 in number, before October 1st or face physical attacks. Recall also that the Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Kaduna state Governor, El-Rufai and every well-meaning Nigerians had and still continue to condemn the hate speech from the northern group against Ndigbo. However, as the deadline approaches especially with the Police not making any single arrest even till this moment, some have berated the force of double-standards and alleged that the police is not sincere in her duty of securing lives and property. Although several Igbo groups living in the north and the region’s apex body, Ohaneze Ndigbo, have maintained t...

On July 21st, 2017, Donald Trump will declare a referendum for Biafra

We have all heard about the Republican front-runner and current president of the United States of America, Donald Trump. Since the elections, he has received a lot of attention from a number of nations. Especially for his interesting speeches during his run for the presidential chair. But what are his thoughts on Nigeria and Biafra? Is there a reason why he has decided to support Biafra? Let’s discuss. Donald Trump on Nigeria Before talking about Trump’s attitude to Biafra, let us first cover some interesting things that he said about Nigerians. We know that during the elections, Donald was quite radical (to say the least) about immigrants. We also know that there are a fair amount of Nigerians that are working in America. Most of them are living far away from their families and are sending money to their relatives in Nigeria. During a rally at Wichita, Kansas he mentioned the problem of immigration. It is known that a fair amount of immigrants in the US are from Mexico ...

North Korea’s Kim says intercontinental ballistic missile a ‘gift’ to ‘American bastards’

North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missile test was a “gift” to “American bastards” on their independence day, Pyongyang’s official news agency on Wednesday cited leader Kim Jong-Un as saying. After personally overseeing the launch, the Korean Central News Agency reported, “he said American bastards would be not very happy with this gift sent on the July 4 anniversary”. Breaking into peals of laughter, it said, he “added that we should send them gifts once in a while to help break their boredom”. The intercontinental ballistic missile is capable of carrying a “large, heavy nuclear warhead” that can survive re-entry into the Earth’s atmosphere, its official news agency said Wednesday. Washington described the device, launched on Tuesday in a watershed moment for Pyongyang’s weapons ambitions, as an ICBM, and independent experts said it was capable of reaching Alaska. The Korean Central News Agency said that after personally overseeing the test, leader Kim Jong-Un “sai...

Restructuring debate: 90% of Nigerians are slaves – Fani-Kayode

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, tells BAYO AKINLOYE that the only way to avoid a civil war is for Nigeria to be restructured What do you think about calls for the restructuring of Nigeria? It is absolutely necessary and it is the only way forward. Some have argued that what the country needs now isn’t the restructuring of the country but good leadership. Isn’t that correct? Those that say so have been saying that for the last 30 years and it’s been proved wrong. Nothing can change the fortune of Nigeria without restructuring. We must restructure this country – it is the only thing that can change the fortune of Nigeria for the better; to ensure that every single region, every ethnic nationality, every religion, and every individual, are convinced that they have a stake in this country. Unless we do that and ensure that we have true federalism – or, at its very best a confederation – Nigeria will break up. It is better for us to restructure and ensure that ...

BREAKING NEWS: I SUPPORT BIAFRA REFERENDUM NOT RESTRUCTURING. says Femi Fan I kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode took to his Facebook page earlier today to pen an article to IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu which he titled “The Lion Of The East”. Read below “Let me make this abundantly clear right from the outset. I love and respect Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the supreme leader of the Biafran movement, the founder and convener of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) and the man that I have appropiately dubbed as the Lion of the East. I do not however agree with him on EVERYTHING and neither do I share his views about President Goodluck Jonathan. I do not believe that Jonathan was weak or that he was incompetent. As a matter of fact I believe that the contrary is the case. I believe that he exhibited immense strength and courage by letting go of power even though he did NOT lose the 2015 presidential election but was rather rigged out of it and even though he did NOT need to do so. If Jonathan had been a lesser man and if he had wanted to do so he could have knuckled down, called...

Called Nnamdi Kanu names. But give us Biafra.: Ike Ekweremadu

The most discussed subject in Nigeria today is what is called “restructuring” and indeed so popular is this subject that it has attracted the attention of roadside commentators, the bright, the not-so-bright, the mischievous and the outrightly unintelligent all united by the singular claim that Nigeria belongs to all of us and we all have a right to determine its future. The last person who brought up this subject with me is a mechanic in Abeokuta! He had heard about Biafra, the Arewa youths, the President’s absence, Professor Osinbajo, Nnamdi Kanu, what Igbo leaders, Northern leaders and Yoruba leaders have said about restructuring and he wanted a conversation. That’s how democracy works, not so? The inclusiveness is actually very good for us… But the point I have always made stands proven: that Nigeria remains an unanswered question, more than a century after the amalgamation of 1914. Before and after independence, virtually every government has had to deal with this same questio...
