AN OPEN LETTER TO PASTOR W.F. KUMUYI.

Dear sir,

I am compelled to write this heart warming letter to you considering the present situation of things in Nigeria. In my usual way, I must not fail to ask you how you fairing? Without any shred of doubt, I strongly believe you are kicking strong in the track of human.

Sir, this letter is not in any way designed to drag your personality and your business enterprise (Deeper Life Bible Church) on the mud. I do not have the intention of tearing what has already been torn. I am writing to bring to the fore some of the damages you have been able to cause to the entire political system in Nigeria. Some writers maybe scared of writing your flaws but fortunately, such cowardice does not exist in the mental radar of people like me. We are trained to expose the truth no matter whose ox is gored.

When I was growing up as child, I read a lot of stories about the prophets of God in the Bible and some of the significant roles they played during their reign. Beginning from Elijah, John the Baptist, Amos and host of other prophets that time and space wouldn't permit me to mention. These prophets stood by the people in difficult times and fiercely repudiated every wicked king. I mean, kings who were so oppressive and never had the fear of God. 

Sir, are you a true prophet? Your childish hypocrisy has driven me to pose this question to you. My question is born out of the statement you made on the Punch Newspaper of 25th December, 2018. To avoid any kind of obfuscation, I will quote you verbatim. "Clerics giving unfulfilled New Year prophecies are false prophets". I will simply pass my verdict on you based on the above utterance. On the 25th of December, 2016, you used your pulpit to prey on the ignorance of millions of Nigerians by mendaciously stating that God will give Buhari the solution to the problem of Nigeria in 2017. Unfortunately enough, 2017 has come and gone and we are almost embracing 2019 but the solution to the cancer that is speedily chewing Nigeria to death is farfetched.

Sir, are you truly sure it was God that spoke to you? Or probably the talisman in your pocket did? How could you have done such a damage to innocent Nigerians who look up to you as a role model? You lied without fear that a notorious serpent will invariably bring a solution to the myriad of problems plaguing Nigeria. The same bringer of solution ended up bringing sorrow, frustration, pain, hunger and death to the people. You are nothing but a prophet of doom. I can liken you to a prophet of Baal. Prophets that lie and deceive the oppressed people just for pecuniary gains.

In 2017 alone, thousands of innocent Christians lost their lives because of the draconian disposition of the present government, the so called bringer of solution. Beginning from the Eastern axis, Middle belt and down to Southern Kaduna. Christians were butchered like rams and what did you say and do as a prophet? You did practically nothing. All you could do was to run like a headless chameleon to aso rock to pray for the same man that released the psychopathic beasts that murdered a member of your church in cold blood.

Sir, you are really ridiculous. A member of your church was beheaded in one of the most gruesome manner by some religious lunatics and her head used as a football. There were condemnations by genuine men of God with good conscience but surprisingly you went mum. What are you afraid of? Is that the solution you said Buhari will bring? Your religious antecedents is a heavy slap on what Christianity stands for. I will not be mistaking if I should call you the fraud of the highest order. Do you read your Bible at all? Or are you among those Sadducees that pride in vain glory? You have monumentally veered off from the moral creed that defines Christianity.

If others will be afraid to spill this can of worm, individuals like me will never abscond. Elijah never capitulated in rebuking Ahab when he ran berserk as a King and that is the exact thing millions of Nigerians are expecting you to do and not to chicken out like a religious wimp. Prophets of God are not known to be weaklings. They are vocal, fearless, bold and driven by the genuineness to correct and redirect. Prophets rise in times of trouble to lead the people in a battle against a tyrannical government. If at this point in time you are not bordered by the constant evil orchestrated by this present government, that means you are wittingly leading the flocks of God under your stewardship to hell. Your pretentious approach portends a great danger to millions of Christians living in Nigeria. With your kind of mentality, Christians won't survive the onslaught led by this caliphate government.

However sir, I am somewhat convinced that the glory of God has departed from you. I will suggest you look inwardly again and have a deep sober reflection. You have failed millions of Christians in Nigeria. You must desist forthwith from hiding behind the pulpit to misdirect and push people to their untimely death. Many swallowed your fake prophecy hook line and sinker. Stop using the name of God to rebrand a monster that will come to wreck untold havoc. Your talisman has failed you.

Conclusively sir, you cannot change what is unchangeable. No amount of prayer fired to the high heavens by dubious and fake prophets like you will get to heaven. God abhors prayers of men who support injustice. Notwithstanding, you are a false prophet because your prophecy failed. I passed judgement on you based on your utterance and actions. 

                 Accept my letter in good fate.
